MELANIE

I have been working with Michele for the past 9 years, and have followed her as she has transitioned through a few different facilities.  But this year was far different when COVID19 struck.  I decided as much as I dislike exercising at home, due to all of the restrictions in place I would tackle it head-on.  Michele was wonderful in providing me with four workouts each week, which I did early in the morning, so I could get on with my very busy day running my family’s business.

I did have equipment at home, but I also purchased a few extras on amazon and we made it all work!  Even though Michele wasn’t there in person to supervise me, I was disciplined and did the workouts each week – the routines were challenging and I sure did work up a sweat each time!

During this time I was also dealing with several family emergencies, and injured my foot which had me in a boot for 3 months.   Through all this I pushed through, I was not going to let the boot be an obstacle for me.  In the course of six months I lost 43 pounds! 

Here I am now 20lbs away from reaching my goal.  We are back to training in person again three times a week.  It takes a lot of dedication but slow and steady wins the race!! - Melanie

LINDA

With the responsibility of caring for my elderly parents, I need to limit my interactions as much as possible. Working out remotely has enabled me to continue exercising 3x a week via Zoom, from the safety of my home. Along with equipment I already had, Michele was able to find inexpensive space saving equipment through online marketplaces and retailers. My workouts have been fun, challenging and motivating. Michele has been great at adapting the workouts and surprises me with new exercises each session!

GALE

Upon completion of physical therapy from a severe injury, my doctor suggested I start going to the gym.  I had a fall that resulted in a severely broken elbow that required surgery, and I was basically injured from elbow to fingertip.  To top it off, I also developed a case of frozen shoulder. 

At that time I did not belong to a gym, and had not been a member of one for over 20 years.  A friend recommended one on one sessions with Michele.   Prior to our first appointment, Michele asked if she could see my medical records ahead of time in order to understand my needs.   When I arrived for my first session she was fully prepared to work with me.  Right from the beginning Michele knew when to push me, while maintaining the patience to know when not to push too hard.

Much to my surprise I have continued to have sessions with Michele, long after my injury healed.  The last four years we have worked on strengthening my whole body as well as my balance.  I am in my 60’s and Michele feels it is very important that we work on balance and agility to prevent another fall.  Usually her first two questions she has for me when I arrive is “How are you feeling today?” and “Does anything hurt?”  Even though she has a workout already planned for me, she makes sure she knows if we need to avoid, or work on, a specific part of the body.

Meghan

Nothing I can say here will sum up how I feel about this amazing young lady and her quiet determination. She was referred to me by a fitness peer who is also her coach, as she was looking to increase her strength while she was starting her weight loss journey. She had no experience with weight training, so we began with the basics, and built from that. She NEVER complained, always showed up on time, and was ready to work. Her strength, form, and abilities have shot through the roof - I am consistently blown away by the changes in her since we first met in the spring. 85lbs lighter, and MUCH stronger, she is killing her workout game and I am incredibly proud of her!
